Designed as a precise nod to George Harrison's "first real decent guitar," the G6128T-GH adopts the aesthetic and mechanical codes of the 1957 Duo Jet: chambered mahogany body in mid-50s style, chrome hardware, silver plexiglass pickguard, and signature details that distinguish it at first glance. The "all Black" finish (body, back, sides, and back of the neck) enhances its timeless elegance, while the offset strap button on the lower bout recalls an iconic feature of the original model.

The pair of DynaSonic single-coil pickups delivers a highly articulate range: airy highs, clear pick attack, and firm lows, ideal for snappy riffs as well as complex chords that need to remain clear. The chambered mahogany body provides warmth and sustain, while the arched laminated maple top adds controlled brightness and strong projection. On the control side, the Gretsch configuration (independent neck/bridge volumes + tone) allows shifting from sparkling clean to thicker sounds simply with the right hand and knobs. The Bigsby B3C complements the setup with smooth vibrato, perfect for expressive nuances, and the Rocking Bar promotes a full, singing tone true to the Jet spirit.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The guitar comes with a G6276 hard case (tweed). For transport, the G2164 gig bag (ref. 099-6460-000) and the G6238 Deluxe case (ref. 099-6410-000) are recommended options. To maintain the original string gauge, choose D'Addario EXL110 nickel 10-46 strings. A standard strap for classic strap buttons fits without modification.
