Thanks to its comfortable "C" profile neck and complete electronics, this Gretsch is particularly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive and versatile hollow body. It excels in rockabilly, rock, blues, pop, and jazz: crisp rhythms, open chords, and singing leads fully benefit from the hollow body format and Filter'Tron tone. The Bigsby also provides a perfect palette for surf, Americana, and vintage textures.

The Sound

The hollow body made of laminated maple (arched top and back) delivers precise attack, generous projection, and a beautiful "alive" sensation under the fingers. The Semi-Arc bracing (ML Bracing) helps structure the lows and preserve clarity, which aids in maintaining a readable sound even when pushed on stage. The two Hi-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups provide the typical Gretsch blend: crisp highs, articulated mids, and firm lows, with excellent note separation in chords. The electronics allow fine sculpting: individual pickup volumes, master volume with treble bleed circuit to maintain clarity when lowering the volume, master tone, and a 3-position selector to instantly switch from the bridge pickup's bite to the neck pickup's warmth.
