A "Deluxe" Starfire in the spirit of the Newark St. Collection
The Starfire VI Blonde takes the iconic double-cutaway Starfire silhouette and elevates it into a decidedly high-end version: AAA flame maple, refined finishes and electronics designed to recapture the character of Guild guitars from the sixties, while remaining reliable and comfortable for everyday use. A guitar that fully embraces its vintage DNA, both in style and playing feel.
Which guitarists and styles is it suited to?
This semi-hollow electric guitar is particularly suited to intermediate to advanced guitarists looking for a truly expressive tonal palette: open chords, arpeggios, refined rhythm parts and singing solos. It excels in blues, vintage rock, pop, indie, soul and jazz, with the added option of subtle vibrato for more "retro" textures.
The sound
The semi-hollow body + center block combination delivers airiness and fullness, while retaining excellent control when you turn up the gain: more sustain and less feedback than a hollowbody. The flame maple enhances attack and precision, making it ideal for clear, snappy rhythm parts and well-defined notes.
The two LB-1 Little Bucker pickups deliver an articulate vintage tone: warm low mids, present highs without harshness, and excellent clarity in chords. With the 3-way selector and its control layout—dedicated volume and tone controls, plus a master control—you can quickly move from a rounded jazz/blues sound to a more biting rock and pop tone, while finely shaping the dynamics.
Recommended compatible accessories
To preserve the original touch and balance, we recommend .011–.049 gauge electric guitar strings (such as D'Addario EXL115). As the hardshell case is included, a microfiber cloth for the gold-plated hardware and glossy finishing would be an excellent everyday addition.
