Summary of this Sheet Music
Designed to align perfectly with Essential Elements, this sheet music (separate part) offers great flexibility for your Concert Band Class. The idea is simple and highly effective for group instruction: each piece is presented in two versions. On the one hand, an orchestral version to be performed with the full ensemble, designed to work with most junior band line-ups; on the other, a solo version (melody line) allowing students to play the piece again at home, consolidate intonation, breathing, articulation and phrasing, while retaining the enjoyment of the melody.
This approach encourages rapid and rewarding progress: your musicians discover ensemble playing at an early stage, develop reliable skills in playing together, learn to listen to the different sections and maintain balance, while also building independence through individual practice. Both versions can be performed with accompaniment on compact disc (sold separately). For the teacher's convenience, an accompaniment compact disc is included with the conductor's score, and the piano accompaniment is suitable for both the orchestral and solo versions.
