An Accessible Rotary Inspired by the Classics
The Headliner R2 adopts the aesthetics and handling of classic rotary mixers while remaining affordable. Its robust metal chassis, stained wooden side panels, and ALPS potentiometers provide a premium feel. Its modular internal construction and externally lockable mini-XLR power supply ensure stability and signal cleanliness, even on demanding sound systems.
For Which DJs and Uses?
Ideal for house and techno DJs who favor smooth fades and organic timbres, the R2 is also suitable for funk, soul, or disco enthusiasts. Its 2-channel format makes it a perfect ally for vinyl sets, intimate bars and clubs, mobile gigs, or studio use. Independent Master and Booth outputs facilitate balance between front-of-house and monitor, while the front mic input simplifies announcements.
Features and Innovations
Each channel offers gain control with peak LED, 3-band isolator EQ, headphone monitoring selector with LED, large volume potentiometer, and filter activation switch. The Master channel includes an analog filter with selectable high-pass/low-pass modes, frequency and resonance controls to precisely sculpt the mix. On the output side, the R2 provides independent Master and Booth outputs with volume controls, selectable between symmetrical XLR or asymmetrical RCA, plus a dedicated RCA Record output.
The Cue section is particularly comprehensive: headphone volume, Cue/Master mix, and Split Cue switching to separate signals in each ear. The high-current headphone amplifier effortlessly powers most headphones via 6.35 mm and 3.5 mm jacks. Two LED VU meters monitor the Master output, a push-button power switch is located on the rear, and the unit remains compact (320 x 219 x 106 mm, 2.8 kg) to fit any setup.
