A Hercules Headphone Designed for Learning and Cueing
The HERCULES HDP DJ45 follows a simple concept: to offer an accessible, practical DJ headphone to accompany the first mixing sessions. Its design prioritizes essential DJ actions (cueing, switching between headphone sound and external ambiance, moving around the setup), while remaining compact when folded.
Who is it for? Beginner DJs, streaming, rehearsals, and small gigs
This headphone is primarily aimed at beginner DJs who want to learn how to beatmatch cleanly, prepare transitions through cueing, and control their levels without complications. It is also suitable for everyday uses: rehearsals, practicing at home, streaming, and small events where a reliable, quick-to-put-on, and easy-to-carry headphone is needed.
Thanks to the swivel earcup, the HDP DJ45 facilitates one-ear monitoring: a widely used technique to stay connected to the environment (monitors, audience, instructions) while maintaining a precise rhythmic reference through the headphones.
Features and New Additions
The HERCULES HDP DJ45 connects simply to the headphone output of your equipment via a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack, with a 6.35 mm stereo jack adapter included to fit consoles, mixers, and sound equipment. Its 2 m coiled cable provides good freedom of movement, useful when switching from a computer to a mixer or from a flight case to a control room.
On the listening side, it covers an audible frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and features a sensitivity of 95 dB at 1 mW. The 60 ohm impedance helps achieve a usable monitoring sound, while the 50 mm drivers are sized for comfortable DJ listening, with a sufficiently present reproduction to work on attacks (kick, snare) and rhythmic placement.
