Elite Series: Heritage Audio's DNA in a More Accessible Approach

After seven years developing a range of outboard gear renowned for its hand-wired and hand-soldered assemblies, Heritage Audio launched the Elite series with a clear goal: to make this level of quality more affordable without compromising the essence of the "true" vintage sound. Presented as a new line designed to optimize assembly time, the Elite relies on modern construction techniques and streamlined manufacturing, while retaining the key components that define the sonic character, starting with the Carnhill transformer.

Manufactured in the same Spanish factory as the rest of the Heritage Audio range, the HA-73X2 fits directly into this philosophy: a dual HA-73 Elite in rack format, announced as built to the same specifications as the 73JR and DMA73 models. In short, you get the Heritage identity (grain, depth, the feeling of "glue" in the mix) in a two-channel format particularly relevant for stereo recordings or sessions where you want to quickly chain sources.

Two Channels to Record Fast, Well, and with Character

The Heritage Audio HA-73X2 Elite is aimed at demanding home studio users, project studios, and control rooms seeking a two-channel mic preamp capable of bringing warmth and body right at the source, without relying solely on software processing. Its 1U format and two channels make it an excellent choice for stereo recordings (overheads, piano, acoustic guitar in pairs, room mics), but also for simultaneous vocal + instrument takes, or to secure a session with a pair of preamps delivering a coherent sound.

Thanks to its high gain (80 dB) and Class A architecture, it remains clean and present at low levels while offering increased density when pushed harder. And if your goal is to thicken an already captured track, the separate line input on XLR allows you to pass a source back through the input stage to regain that analog relief and feel, useful on vocals, drum machines, synths, or stems.
