Its preferred genres: blues (Chicago, Texas, country blues), rock, folk, americana, and pop. The Richter tuning and reed response facilitate expressive effects (attacks, vibrato, dynamics) and encourage typical diatonic techniques, especially bending.

Sound and Design

The core of the Marine Band character comes from the balance between a varnished pearwood comb and brass plates : producing a dense sound with a strong presence in the midrange and a very appreciated "organic" feel in blues.
