Hohner FUN MUSETTE 96B BLACK SHADED (BS)

The FUN MUSETTE Series: a Proven "Dance Hall" Signature for Over 20 Years

The FUN MUSETTE series has built a reputation around a simple idea: offering an accordion tailored for musette and entertainment, with an aesthetic that remains current. Presented as the "King of the Dance Hall," the FUN MUSETTE 96B Black fits this logic by bridging two worlds: the musette and variety repertoire on one side, and a more modern presentation on the other.

Within the range, this 96 bass format targets musicians who want a serious instrument capable of handling full sets while maintaining a more compact grip than a large model. It is a coherent choice to combine tradition, efficiency, and mobility.

An Accordion Designed for Dance Halls, Stage, and Demanding Amateurs

The FUN MUSETTE 96B Black is aimed at accordionists seeking a convincing musette tone and mechanics suited for lively playing: reprises, waltzes, javas, pasos, as well as variety and stage pieces where the accordion must "cut through" the mix. Its 96 bass format is suitable both for left-hand accompaniment and more elaborate arrangements.

With a listed weight of 8.9 kg, it targets regular use: rehearsals, events, dance halls, orchestras, or solo performances. It is an appropriate instrument for intermediate to advanced levels, or for any musician prioritizing musette sound and direct sonic presence.

Effective Registers and a Sound Base Designed for Musette

A Responsive and Expressive Right Hand

The right hand relies on a structure announced as 3 voices, with 4 ranks and a 66-key / 50-note right keyboard. This configuration favors articulated playing, useful for ornaments, musette phrasing, and melodies that must remain clear even at fast tempos.

The 4 right-hand registers allow quick adaptation of the tone: rounder for melodic accompaniment, brighter for themes, or sharper to stand out in dance hall situations.

A Solid Left Hand to Carry the Rhythm

With 96 basses and 4 voices on the left hand, the FUN MUSETTE 96B Black is designed to hold the floor: clear basses, present chords, and enough to establish a regular and dynamic pump. The 3 left-hand registers provide immediate flexibility to adjust the accompaniment density according to the style and energy of the piece.

Tipo a Mano Reeds: Precision, Comfort, and Projection

The choice of Tipo a Mano reeds aims for a compromise appreciated by musicians: quick response, good stability, and projection that enhances nuances. In musette, this translates to a sense of control in the attack and clarity useful for maintaining the dance character, even on fast phrases or heavily accented passages.
