Hohner Merlin II Button Keys in G/C

A "natural wood" signature in the Hohner spirit

With the Natural Wood Line, Hohner highlights a warm and traditional aesthetic, true to the image of the diatonic accordion: an instrument made for folk repertoire, dance, and acoustic music. The walnut stain, the marquetry inlay, and the window with vintage-style label recall characterful accordions while retaining more contemporary elements such as the chrome right-hand grille and metal corners designed to withstand stage life and transport.

This "tradition + robustness" approach makes it a particularly appealing model if you are looking for a Hohner diatonic with a strong style, without sacrificing choices aimed at playing comfort, notably a mechanism advertised as smooth and silent.

For which musicians and styles?

The Hohner Natural Wood Line is aimed at accordionists who want an expressive diatonic, capable of carrying the melody with depth and effectively supporting the left-hand rhythm. Its configuration of 23 buttons on 2 1/2 rows and its 8 basses suits common practices very well: vocal accompaniment, traditional music, dance halls, acoustic sessions, and "world music" playing depending on your repertoire.

The G/C tuning (with A/D available on request) allows you to choose the instrument according to your band, vocal range, or the most common keys in your region and style. This is a key point for a diatonic accordion: the choice of tuning directly influences comfort on certain tunes and compatibility with other instruments.
