ATZ: an Ibanez electric guitar designed for precision and reliability
The ATZ series embodies a "modern and pro" approach to electric guitars: ergonomics designed for expressive playing, high-end components, and meticulous finishes. With its torrefied woods, DiMarzio pickups, and premium hardware, the ATZ10P stands as a model ready for stage and studio, delivered with a hard case included.
For whom and for which styles?
This Ibanez is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists who want a fast, precise, and versatile guitar. Its 25.5" / 648 mm scale length and 22 jumbo frets promote a sharp attack, comfortable bends, and smooth legato, while remaining comfortable for rhythm playing. It effectively covers pop, rock, blues, funk, and fusion, with usable tones from articulated clean to sustained lead.
The sound
The alder body provides a very musical balance: firm lows, present mids, and precise highs, ideal for maintaining definition in a mix. The torrefied maple neck and fingerboard enhance the sense of attack and note clarity, with a quick response under the fingers. Regarding pickups, the DiMarzio The Cruiser in the neck and middle positions offer a single-coil-voiced grain, lively and clear, with good midrange presence. At the bridge, the DiMarzio AT-1 adds foundation and controlled warmth for riffs and solos. The 5-position selector and coil-tap multiply textures, while the combination of Wilkinson WV6-SB + Graph Tech nut + Gotoh MG-T secures tuning stability, even with very expressive tremolo use.
