An AZ Designed to Cover a Wide Range of Styles

The AZ series is built around a simple idea: to offer a modern, comfortable, and highly adaptable guitar. On this AZ2402, the combination of responsive craftsmanship (alder body, torrefied S-TECH WOOD maple neck and fingerboard) and multi-voice oriented electronics allows seamless transition from tight rhythm playing to expressive leads without changing instruments.

For Which Guitarist and Styles?

This electric guitar is particularly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists who want a precise, stable instrument comfortable on stage and in the studio. It suits styles requiring versatility and a clear attack: modern rock, pop, funk, fusion, energetic blues, and heavy distorted sounds while maintaining definition. The Luminlay side markers are a real plus in low-light conditions.

The Sound

The alder body provides a natural balance: present mids, clean lows, and clear highs, ideal for an all-around guitar in a mix. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups (moderate output, Alnico magnets) maintain excellent clarity even with saturation, featuring a sharp attack and a consistent response across the spectrum. The dyna-MIX10 with the Alter Switch allows quick variation of combinations, and the Power Tap mode delivers a credible single coil tone despite the dual humbucker configuration. The Gotoh T1802 tremolo bridge (titanium saddles and machined steel block) promotes quick response, solid low end, and rich highs, while remaining comfortable for both pick and legato playing.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original setup, this AZ2402 is compatible with D'Addario EXL110 strings in gauge 10-46 (direct replacement). For transport, the recommended gig bag IGB724-BK is the safest choice in terms of dimensions and protection.
