Made in Japan, the IV1RG blends traditional craftsmanship and targeted innovations: stainless steel frets with VISIONS edge treatment, matte gold hardware, and premium luthiery (neck-through neck, Black Limba, burl maple top). Designed for intermediate to expert guitarists, the IV1RG excels in modern metal, prog, shred, fusion, and demanding rock. The Super Wizard profile (17 mm at the 1st fret) offers ultra-low action and immediate response, while the Lo-Pro Edge vibrato enables expressive effects while maintaining tuning accuracy. The 24 frets and 430 mm / 16.9" radius fingerboard facilitate advanced techniques (legato, tapping, wide bends).

The Sound

The Black Limba + burl maple top combination delivers a generous midrange with bright and detailed highs. The ebony fingerboard adds attack and definition, and the neck-through construction enhances sustain. On the electronics side, the DiMarzio HSH trio covers everything from massive riffs to crystalline cleans: Air Norton (neck) for deep, articulate leads, True Velvet (middle) for punchy clean tones, The Tone Zone (bridge) for musical compression and strong palm-mute foundation. With the 5-way selector, the intermediate positions offer parallel combinations with expressive character. Stainless steel frets maximize attack and longevity, and the Lo-Pro Edge ensures firm response without unwanted noise.
