Sound Characteristics

The basswood body provides a naturally balanced and fairly neutral character, ideal for letting the electronics and right hand speak: present mids, a sharp attack, and a versatile base for saturated tones. The 3-piece Maple/Bubinga neck enhances stability and promotes solid sustain, while the rosewood fingerboard slightly softens the attack and emphasizes well-defined mids.

Regarding pickups, the duo is designed for signature playing: the SUSTAINIAC Driver in the neck position (with "Stealth PRO" preamp) allows for a note that "holds" indefinitely, with a 3-position mini switch to direct the behavior (fundamental, mix, harmonic). At the bridge, the DiMarzio Satchur8 delivers a massive and articulate sound, effective in heavy crunch as well as modern saturation. The high-pass filter on the volume control (push/pull) helps retain brightness when lowering the level, practical for switching from lead to a more laid-back rhythm without losing definition.
