It excels in funk, rock, metal, fusion, and pop, while remaining very comfortable for both fingerstyle and pick playing.

The Sound

The alder body provides a natural balance: firm lows, present mids, and controlled brightness, with solid resonance and sustain. The Nordstrand Big Single pickups deliver the clarity typical of single coils but with more density and impact, producing sharp attacks and a punchy tone ideal for cutting through the mix. The Sonitech preamp allows fine sculpting of the spectrum: the 3-band EQ offers a wide palette, and the Hexa Mid selector facilitates choosing the "right" midrange (scooped, singing, or more percussive) depending on the style. The push/pull bypass also lets you return to a more direct and organic response whenever you want.
