iZotope Insight is a measurement plugin designed to secure every stage of an audio production, from mixing to delivery. It is aimed equally at sound engineers in music (spectral balance, dynamics, stereo) and workflows in broadcast and post-production (loudness control, dialogue intelligibility, multichannel consistency). Its goal is simple: to provide you with a clear, reliable, and actionable reading of your signal to make quick decisions and avoid unpleasant surprises at export.

7-Module Multimeter: A Complete Signal Overview

Insight combines several monitoring tools in a single interface to quickly check dynamics, spectrum, stereo image, and phase compatibility. Each module offers display options adapted to the context (fine editing, quick check, broadcast monitoring).

Loudness Control and Standards Compliance

The level indicator combines peak and RMS displays with loudness measurement according to ITU-R BS.1770-1, ITU-R BS.1770-2, ITU-R BS.1770-3, and EBU R128 standards. Ideal for hitting loudness targets without guesswork, whether delivering a music mix, a web video, or a broadcast program.

Advanced Visual Analysis: Spectrogram, Spectrum, and Stereo Image

The spectrogram (2D or 3D) highlights frequency evolution over time, useful for spotting resonances, unwanted noise, or masking. The spectrum analyzer offers various zoom options for detailed diagnosis. On the spatial side, the vectorscope provides multiple modes (balance meter, polar sample, polar level, Lissajous) and a correlation meter to check mono stability and phase.

Tools Dedicated to Surround and Atmos

For multichannel projects, Insight includes a Surround Scope to visualize level relationships between surround channels and supports configurations up to Dolby Atmos 7.1.2. This lets you maintain control over energy distribution and spatial coherence without wasting time juggling multiple tools.

Loudness Automation and Cross-Plugin Communication

The loudness overshoot automation feature automatically generates automation data compliant with loudness standards, a real advantage for speeding up corrections. Additionally, iZotope Relay enables cross-plugin communication with compatible iZotope products to streamline analysis within a processing chain.
