An Exceptional Randy Rhoads in the Legend Series
The Jackson Legend Randy Rhoads CD1 pays tribute to one of the most iconic silhouettes in the history of metal electric guitar. Its asymmetrical V shape, ivory aesthetic accented with black stripes, and black Jackson headstock with gold lettering recreate the visual codes associated with Randy Rhoads.
This limited edition brings a spirit previously reserved for Custom Shop creations to the Legend Series. It combines a luxurious presentation with a construction designed for modern playing, featuring a neck-through construction, an ebony key and carefully selected components for demanding guitarists.
A V-Shaped Guitar Designed for Rock, Hard Rock and Metal
The Jackson Legend Randy Rhoads CD1 is primarily aimed at intermediate and advanced guitarists looking for an expressive, fast and visually spectacular electric guitar. Its neck ergonomics are suited to tight rhythms, technical solos, wide bends and fast passages across the entire length of the key.
Its HH configuration is particularly well suited to hard rock, heavy metal, shred, classic metal and high-gain styles. Thanks to the combination of its two humbuckers, it also performs comfortably in more nuanced rock contexts, with articulate clean tones and generous crunch sounds.
The Powerful and Versatile Character of the Seymour Duncan JB and '59 Pair
The alder body provides a balanced tonal foundation, with firm lows, pronounced mids and sufficiently clear highs to retain definition under distortion. The neck-through construction enhances vibrational continuity between the neck and body, helping to promote sustain and note stability during solos.
In the bridge position, the Seymour Duncan JB SH-4 delivers a generous output level, a pronounced attack and singing mids. It is well suited to heavy riffs, artificial harmonics and hard-hitting solos. The Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N in the neck position offers a rounder, more open voice, ideal for fluid leads, arpeggios and warm clean tones.
The three-position selector allows each pickup to be used separately or combined. The two dedicated volume controls and two tone controls make it possible to finely balance the output levels and brightness of each humbucker. The dense, responsive ebony key adds precision to the attack while enhancing the clarity of fast notes.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
This guitar comes with a Jackson padded gig bag, suitable for its V shape. To preserve the original setup, we recommend a set of nickel-plated electric guitar strings in .009-.042 gauge. A standard instrument jack cable is also compatible for connecting to an amplifier, effect pedal or audio interface.
