The JRX200 series features a Progressive Transition waveguide, an approach developed to reconcile three often conflicting goals: dispersion control, low distortion, and consistent frequency response. Practically, this results in more even coverage and a more stable projection, useful for maintaining usable sound when moving around on stage or when multiple musicians share the same monitor zone.

JBL transducers: components designed for professional use

The JRX212 relies on transducers manufactured by JBL Professional in Northridge, California. The 2414H-C (1-inch, 25.4 mm) compression driver improves high-frequency performance and reliability, while the 300 mm (12-inch) M112-8 woofer provides the necessary foundation for a balanced stage sound.

SonicGuard: protection designed for the rigors of the stage

High frequencies are often the first casualty of accidents: feedback, dropped microphones, amplifier overloads... The integrated SonicGuard technology absorbs excess energy without interrupting output, limiting damage and avoiding solutions that degrade sound quality (such as replacing fuses or resetting circuit breakers). This is a valuable safeguard in real-world conditions where ensuring the performance is the priority.

Construction and hardware: built to withstand

The JRX212 favors a robust build with a 19 mm MDF enclosure, reinforced joints, and a stiffer internal bracing to support low-frequency performance. For handling and protection, it features non-resonant steel handles, reinforcement bars, and a steel grille protecting the entire front face. The black carpet finish follows the tradition of mobile sound reinforcement speakers, practical for minimizing transport marks.
