SRX800 Passive: JBL's "touring" DNA Serving Portable Systems
The SRX800 Passive series was developed to offer, in a portable format, a level of sound quality, power, and build rarely achieved in this category. The concept is simple: combine JBL components with custom-designed speakers to create a system capable of keeping pace in mobile sound reinforcement, even when level demands, transportation, and repeated performances become the norm.
Within the Harman Professional ecosystem, the SRX800 series also follows an integration logic: optimized presets can be used via Crown amplifiers and dbx processing units, with control through Audio Architect, ensuring coherent system deployment.
What Applications Is This Dual 18-Inch Subwoofer Designed For?
This passive 2 x 18-inch subwoofer targets contractors, technicians, and venues seeking very physical bass for live or DJ setups: low-end reinforcement on the front of house, sub(s) for concert stages, or serious extension of a full-range system. With a sensitivity of 96 dB (1W/1m) and the ability to reach very high levels, it is especially relevant when aiming for solid coverage and impactful low frequencies without sacrificing power handling.
Its "dual 18-inch" format is ideal for styles where the kick and bass need to remain clear at high volumes, as well as for events requiring stable low-end over time. In performance, it naturally fits in stacks, cardioid configurations (depending on system design), or as a central reinforcement, depending on diffusion goals and stage constraints.
