Sound and design

Made of ebonite, the HR* aims for a pleasant and warm sound, with a round timbre and comfortable response. Its round chamber promotes a fuller and more homogeneous tone, as opposed to a square chamber which is generally more centered and "focused." With its 1.78 mm tip opening, it offers an interesting balance between control, flexibility, and expressiveness, while maintaining good projection capacity when the music calls for it.

This mouthpiece is delivered without ligature or mouthpiece cap. To preserve the ebonite and transport your equipment safely, it is advisable to add a ligature and a mouthpiece cap specifically adapted to the soprano saxophone and the size of this mouthpiece.
