Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

The Super Lead belongs to the family of "plug-and-play" headphone amps: minimalist solutions that replicate the idea of a classic guitar amp (preamp, tone, dynamics) but in a pocket-sized format. Its positioning is clear: to offer an amp feel and a distinctive sound identity, without a speaker cabinet, pedalboard, or complex setup, enabling more frequent and easier practice.

Who This Amp Is For

The Super Lead is suitable both for the beginner who wants an inspiring sound without disturbing others, and for the experienced guitarist seeking a discreet warm-up solution before rehearsals or concerts. At home, it allows working on precision (bends, vibrato, back-and-forth) on headphones while maintaining an inspiring tone. On the go, it is a practical tool to keep muscle memory and rehearse set parts.

In terms of styles, it is particularly comfortable in British rock, hard rock, punk, and classic rock genres, whenever a sharp attack, present mids, and a responsive, edgy saturation are desired.

Features and New Additions

Designed to focus on essentials, the Super Lead plugs directly into the guitar, then connects to headphones for immediate listening. Its 180-degree rotating jack facilitates orientation depending on the instrument's jack position, improving comfort whether sitting or standing and reducing clutter.

To work on tracks, it includes a 3.5mm Jack input to connect an audio player (such as an MP3). You can thus play along with a backing track, slow down your learning, loop a passage, and adjust your timing without using other devices. The whole system is designed to be quickly operational, and the amp is sold with a battery included so you can play right out of the box.

Sound

The Super Lead is an amp simulator oriented towards the "Super Lead" aesthetic: a sound inspired by major British references, with a signature focused on articulated mids, precise attack, and a grainy texture that remains clear in both riffs and leads. On headphones, this tone is ideal for working the right hand (dynamics, palm-muting, attacks) and phrase accuracy, as the sound highlights dynamics and playing nuances.

Clean tones are fairly straightforward and usable for arpeggios, with a character already well defined. Increasing the gain on the playing side (stronger attack, more powerful pickups) brings more saturation, evoking energetic rock, with more sensitive compression and easier sustain control. It's an "amp" approach designed for playing enjoyment and effective silent practice.
