The JSP1000 is aimed at intermediate to advanced musicians, music schools, concert bands, as well as marching band associations looking for a reliable and coherent instrument for their bass sections. Its B-flat key and 3-piston configuration make it a natural choice for marching band, variety, fanfare, and jazz ensembles (brass band, second line, etc.). Outdoors, its forward projection and presence in the low register facilitate fulfilling its role: laying down the rhythmic foundation, supporting the harmony, and "carrying" the group.

Sound, Projection, and Design: A Low Register That Remains Clear

Thanks to its 17.5 mm bore (internal tube diameter, a key indicator of ease of sound production and tonal density), the JSP1000 offers balanced sound production: open enough to support a section while remaining controllable on attacks. The 660 mm bell contributes to wide and direct projection, especially appreciated outdoors or in large ensembles.

The fiberglass body provides excellent resistance to field impacts and helps keep the weight down. The black lacquered ABS plastic bell complements this durability approach while maintaining a consistent response.
