The Kala Ukadelic Soprano "Tropical Day" is part of the Graphic Ukadelic series, created and offered by Kala musicians as part of the brand's annual contest. For 2025, this collection highlights 6 new designs, designed to give each ukulele a unique personality while maintaining a reliable, simple, and inspiring foundation for everyday use.
For whom, and for which styles?
Thanks to its soprano format and immediate playability, this model is suitable for both beginners and intermediate musicians looking for a fun, easy-to-carry instrument. It excels in pop, folk, reggae, and strumming accompaniment, with a dynamic side perfect for laying down a clear and lively rhythm.
Sound
The soprano format favors a quick attack and very direct response, ideal for well-defined chords and energetic rhythmic playing. The poplar top promotes a balanced register with a sense of clarity, while the matte finish provides a natural feel and pleasant grip. The Aquila Super Nylgut strings contribute to a sound that is both precise and warm, with good tuning stability. The plastic nut and saddle ensure a simple and effective approach, perfect for an accessible and ready-to-play ukulele.
Recommended compatible accessories
To maintain top playing condition, you can consider a set of Aquila Super Nylgut soprano ukulele strings (same reference as original) as well as a clip-on tuner for quick adjustments. Note: the free Kala app provides access to tablatures and a tuner on smartphone or tablet.
