At the Heart of the CX Series: A Progression Platform Designed to Last
Positioned as the mid-range model of the CX line, the CX202 features the refined aesthetics of a compact cabinet and the sonic DNA of Kawai concert grand pianos. It offers an ideal balance between ease of use, pianistic expressiveness, and evolving functions to support students, self-taught players, or family pianists over several years.
Keyboard Design
The Responsive Hammer Compact II (RHC-II) 88-key mechanism replicates the natural weight of an acoustic piano with a graded touch (heavier in the bass, lighter in the treble). The 3 sensors per key ensure precise detection of dynamics and rapid repetition, while the matte surfaces improve grip. Three touch sensitivity curves allow you to tailor the response to your playing style.
Sound Quality
The sampled "Harmonic Imaging" sound source reproduces the harmonic richness of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX. You have access to 17 voices (grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, strings, vibraphone, harpsichord, basses) and a 192-note polyphony. The system is powered by 2 x 20 W amplification and 2 speakers measuring 12 x 2 cm, with damper resonance for added realism and "Spatial Headphone Sound" for comfortable headphone sessions.
Built-in Effects
Four reverb types simulating different rooms, brightness control, and fine customization of tone and tuning via the "Virtual Technician" feature in the "PianoRemote" app complete the creative toolkit.
