An Essential Tool for Live Sound Reinforcement: Klark Teknik's Answer to Feedback

The Klark Teknik DF1000 fits within the "field" approach of processors designed for sound reinforcement: a format designed to easily integrate into an existing audio chain, with a straightforward interface and a clear mission. Here, the goal is to secure your speeches and musical performances against feedback without imposing complex settings. The result: a processor with a decidedly professional positioning, focused on efficiency and reliability, designed to work continuously at the heart of a sound system.

Who Should Use the DF1000 and In What Situations?

The DF1000 is aimed at technicians, musicians, and service providers who need to ensure stable sound reinforcement in "high-risk" environments: conference rooms, places of worship, multipurpose halls, concerts, mobile stages, or any live sound installation. It is particularly useful when multiple microphones are open, the room acoustics are challenging, or the monitor level needs to remain comfortable for performers.

Thanks to its two independent channels, you can use it in stereo on the front of house (FOH), or split the tasks: one channel for mono front of house and one channel dedicated to stage monitors/returns. This is a simple solution to centralize feedback management without multiplying devices.

Automation, Precision, and Transparency: Feedback Suppression Without Compromise

Plug and Play Setup

The DF1000 was designed to operate without calibration : insert it inline between your mixing console and power amplifiers, power on the device, activate processing from the front panel, and let the processor react instantly. This approach is ideal when speed is essential (setup/teardown), or when multiple users take turns on the same system.

32 Filters per Channel and Ultra-Fast Detection

When feedback starts, the algorithm locates the critical frequency and automatically applies a very narrow notch filter. The DF1000 can handle up to 32 independent digital notch filters per channel, allowing it to absorb multiple feedback modes during an event (microphone movements, placement changes, level variations, etc.). The advantage of narrow filters is to reduce the problematic frequency while limiting impact on the overall timbre, resulting in a more natural sound than broad corrective equalization.

A More Stable, Louder, and More Relaxed System

Beyond auditory comfort, feedback suppression helps protect your loudspeakers and stabilize the entire mix. Practically, this translates to a possible gain increase before feedback, reported up to 10 dB, useful for regaining headroom on vocals, ambient microphones, or acoustic instruments. The DF1000 thus becomes a discreet but decisive ally, especially in reverberant rooms or setups with monitors close to microphones.

Connectivity Designed for Integration

To adapt to modern configurations, the DF1000 offers inputs and outputs in XLR and Euroblock formats. Inputs are available via XLR/6.35mm Jack combo connectors and 3-pin Euroblock at line level, while outputs are provided in XLR and Euroblock. Whether in a rack, technical bay, or fixed installation, the device easily integrates into a professional sound reinforcement chain.
