The polyphony is based on 8 independent electromechanical voices. Thirteen chromatic steel resonators are provided, of which 8 can be installed simultaneously.
Can the Phase8 resonators be manipulated by hand?
The resonators can be touched, pinched, rubbed, or tapped during play. The AIR slider allows adjustment of their physical sensitivity.

The Acoustic Synthesis engine generates sound from vibrating physical bodies, with tunable steel resonators. Analog wavefolding enriches the harmonic content. Three amplitude modulation modes are available, including two pitch-related ones.

Individual step skipping per voice allows the creation of natural polymeters. Step programming and unquantized live recording are available, with 8 sequence memories.
