The essentials to know about the Lâg BlueWave 2 Auditorium Cutaway Electro Guitar

  • Rechargeable BlueWave preamp with built-in reverb and delay effects, no pedal or cable needed.

  • Wireless connection to a smartphone for streaming music and playing along, like with a speaker.

  • Auditorium cutaway format: comfortable playability and easy access to the high frets.

  • Premium lutherie: solid red cedar top and Santos rosewood back and sides, glossy finish.

BlueWave 2: the more refined and accessible Lâg Smart Guitar

With the BlueWave 2 series, Lâg continues its strong idea: combining traditional lutherie and useful everyday innovation. This generation goes further than the series 1 by adopting more "luxury" choices in materials and presentation, while maintaining a simple philosophy: offering a modern electro-acoustic guitar designed to play anywhere, with intuitive built-in technology.

For which guitarist and styles?

This electro-acoustic folk guitar is especially aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists who want a versatile, inspiring, and easy-to-use instrument both at home and on the go. Its Auditorium format is very suitable for fingerstyle, pop/folk, vocal accompaniment, and arpeggio playing. The cutaway facilitates solos and melodic phrases in the upper frets, practical for progressing comfortably.

The sound

The solid red cedar top provides a quick response and natural warmth: ideal for nuanced playing, soft attacks, and expressive picking. The Santos rosewood back and sides enhance depth, harmonic richness, and a sense of sonic width, with present lows and detailed highs. The X bracing contributes to overall balance and projection, while the Auditorium format favors clear definition and excellent listening comfort. On the amplification side, the BlueWave electronics add reverb and delay effects directly in the guitar, for a spacious and "studio" sound without complex setup.

Recommended compatible accessories

This guitar comes factory-strung with 12-52 steel strings, and you can keep this gauge to maintain balance and playability: a set of Phosphor Bronze 12-52 strings (ideally coated) will be a safe choice for a folk guitar. For comfortable playing, a set of plectrums (0.60 to 0.88 mm) is also perfectly suited for both accompaniment and arpeggios.

  1. Modjee

A very pleasant surprise upon receiving the instrument, the semi-rigid case exudes reliability. And when you take beauty out of her box, the least we can say is that she has charisma.
The choice of woods is of excellent quality, the superb red cedar top, the Black Brancowood of the fingerboard, the very pleasant Khaya neck, everything is beautiful, even if the back and sides are made of laminated rosewood.
In short, it is beautiful and very carefully finished: nickel frets, solid and precise mechanics.

You immediately feel at ease with its auditorium format and its rather thin handle, I got used to it immediately.

Play dry, it was the immediate crush.
I'm starting to have fun with the smart preamp. It's quite incredible but I still need to get used to it and explore its potential. Especially when you turn on the internal amp, even the effects at zero, you have the impression that there is still a bit of an effect. And connected to Bluetooth it's great for working with your phone.

Weaknesses: no charge indicator (it can be recharged via USB) and no built-in tuner which is a real shame.
But for this very moderate price you really have the impression of doing an excellent deal.

PS: I haven't played it amplified yet, but I'm pretty confident on that point.
