Taylor Guitars GS Mini Sapele Natural

The GS Mini, the traveling icon of the range

Designed as a reduced version of the Grand Symphony format, the GS Mini Sapele has established itself as the benchmark for "compact" guitars for mobile musicians. Its solid Sitka spruce top delivers the expressiveness and dynamics of a stage instrument, while the laminated sapele ensures stability and longevity through travel and climate variations.

For which musician and styles?

This acoustic is suitable both for beginners looking for a comfortable first guitar and for experienced guitarists seeking a reliable travel companion. The short scale facilitates barre chords and stretches, making it an excellent study guitar. In terms of styles, it easily covers pop, folk, chanson, country, and acoustic accompaniment, with enough responsiveness for both arpeggios and strumming.

The sound

The solid Sitka spruce top offers a wide dynamic range and precise attack. The laminated sapele back and sides add a present midrange and well-controlled bass, for a balanced and clear tone. The GS Mini format delivers surprising projection and natural sustain, perfect for accompanying vocals, recording in a home studio, or jamming without sacrificing playing comfort.

Recommended compatible accessories

To preserve the character and playability of this instrument, opt for phosphor bronze strings .013-.056 (medium type) like those originally installed. A standard acoustic guitar strap and a capo for steel-string guitars ideally complete the set. The gig bag is included, so you're ready to hit the road right out of the box.
