The LD Systems STINGER SUB 18 A G3 belongs to a professional PA range comprising loudspeakers and subwoofers, available in active and passive versions. This family focuses on a practical approach: dedicated transducers, robust enclosures and settings designed to build a coherent system. The active 18-inch model provides a solution with integrated amplification for users who want to enhance the low-end foundation of their sound system without adding an external amplifier.

For live performances, DJs and events

This PA subwoofer is suited to systems intended for club concerts, touring bands and private or professional events. It provides effective reinforcement when the music requires greater impact and presence in the lower frequency range. The series is also available in configurations combining two 18-inch subwoofers with satellite loudspeakers, for musical performances as well as corporate events.

Accessible settings for building a coherent system

The DynX DSP supports low-frequency reproduction, while the three crossover frequencies make it possible to adapt the connection with the main loudspeakers. The bass-reflex enclosure can be positioned horizontally or vertically depending on the available space. Its steel grille protects the loudspeaker, while the ergonomic handles and stacking recesses facilitate handling and setup. An M20 threaded insert also allows the use of a suitable coupling pole.

The connections include two XLR/jack combo inputs and two XLR link outputs. For a setup using three identical subwoofers, the cardioid preset makes it possible to reduce low-frequency dispersion towards the rear. This configuration helps limit unwanted bass on stage and rear reflections: it requires suitable positioning and settings, and does not correspond to the operation of a single subwoofer.
