This pedal is aimed at guitarists and bassists (and more broadly musicians using pickups or line sources) who want clean and musical control over the dry/wet mix. It's ideal if you play in studio and want to precisely dose an effect without re-recording, or live to maintain a consistent balance regardless of the backline. Styles that particularly benefit from a parallel loop range from blues and rock (to thicken without muddying the attack) to ambient (to layer textures while keeping playing clarity), as well as modern sounds where direct signal clarity is essential.

The PARALLEL SW II works equally well before the amp (as a compact mixer between your instrument and effects) or in the amp's effects loop. It allows you to add and blend the effects signal with the original signal, with independently adjustable send and return levels: practical for adapting both a pedal effect and a rack-format processor to your reference level, without suffering losses or imbalances.

Controls, Modes, and Design: Your Parallel Loop to the Millimeter

The core of the experience is the blend management. The Mix knob lets you adjust the ratio between your original signal and the processed signal to find the ideal balance point: a hint of space without masking the attack, wide but controlled modulation, or a present delay that doesn't "swallow" the playing's grain. Going further, the send and return levels are adjustable independently: you can optimize gain staging, avoid overloading an effect's input, or conversely push a processor that sounds better with a higher input level.

All connections are made in stereo, facilitating the integration of stereo processors into a coherent signal flow. Regarding switching, LEHLE relies on modern logic: a microcontroller controls a true-bypass via relays with an active switching noise suppression system. The result: fast switching, no mechanical wear, and above all no unwanted "pop" when activating or deactivating the loop. The brand's signature soft-touch "mushroom" footswitch is mounted to limit mechanical stress on the electronics: foot pressure is transmitted indirectly via a spring, enhancing robustness for intensive use.

Finally, the PARALLEL SW II offers three operating modes to adapt the footswitch behavior to your playing: latching (sustained switching), momentary (perfect for stutter effects, rhythmic interventions, or punctuations), and a mixed mode where a short press switches latching while a long press acts momentarily.
