The Listening chapter aims to awaken musical perception and develop attention, with the central goal of enjoying listening to music. The Rhythm section emphasizes rhythmic reading without note names (using onomatopoeia, words, or phrases), always respecting tempo, character, dynamics, and the meaning of the musical phrase. Struck readings only occur once the pulse is truly acquired, to secure rhythmic grounding.
Theory is introduced progressively through practice: concepts appear when the student needs them, which facilitates memorization and avoids "out of context" learning. The Sight-Reading/Singing/Ear Training section strengthens the note/sound association through sung reading, with color-coded visual cues to support memory. Original music, composed on selected poems, nurtures the imagination and encourages the child's engagement.
