Cap sur la Musiqueis part of a collection of four volumes of Musical Training, corresponding to the four years of the 1st cycle. This first volume was designed to guide the student step by step in acquiring the fundamental concepts of the 1st year, with a clear and structured progression across 15 lessons. The goal is to establish a solid foundation in note reading, rhythmic understanding, and musical landmarks, while maintaining a lively and accessible dimension, ideal for young musicians in music schools or conservatories.
The method relies on original included educational materials, designed for hands-on use, visualization, and memorization: a note wheel to reinforce landmarks, staves with adhesive notes and rhythms to directly experiment with musical notation, a composers' timeline to introduce musical culture, as well as a symphony orchestra chart to locate instruments and enrich listening. This multi-media approach promotes the child's autonomy and engagement by alternating theory, practice, and discovery.
The CD accompanies the student throughout the musical year with all the activities proposed in the book: original songs, rhythm exercises, listening work, and elements of musical culture. By giving meaning to each learning step, the child better understands what they read and hear, while developing their ear.
