Designed by Christine Morel, professor at the CNR of Paris, this method places collective singing at the heart of learning: singing in tune, breathing together, listening to other sections, and finding the sound balance of a small vocal ensemble. The collection is based on songs for 1, 2, and equal voices, accessible and structured, to support the formation of a choir in initial training.
The content offers a wide variety of styles and eras to enrich musical culture while working on essential skills: rhythmic precision, pitch accuracy, phrasing, diction, and musicality. The inclusion of the main European languages provides valuable work on articulation, prosody, and vocal color, while stimulating listening and curiosity.
The pieces are organized by themes, which facilitates the creation of a coherent audition program (by grouping characters, atmospheres, or intentions). Each chapter targets well-identified difficulties and begins with proposed exercises: guided intonations, rhythmic setups, as well as the development of imagination and the natural expression of the voice.
This collection is intended as an extension of Musical Training studies, linked to the solfège progression of Planète F.M.3 by M. Labrousse. However, it remains perfectly usable as a complement to any solfège book, to bring a concrete, collective, and motivating vocal dimension to musical training.
