Summary of This Method
The concept of this Music Theory (FM) book is new and different from previous ones. Although it is intended for a first year of FM, it allows the use of the instrument during the lesson. And if the student does not yet play an instrument, they will always have the option to play small percussion or even clap their hands; the important thing is that the student remains active during learning. Even though the goal remains the same-that is, acquiring the same technical and musical concepts-the tools used are different. Reading will be approached globally, meaning without clefs at the start, to quickly progress towards knowledge of these (Treble, Bass, C clefs) as well as the instrumental repertoire. Rhythmic work will be done in a playful way with the aim of better anchoring the pulse. As for ear training, it will be more gradual, combining visual (sound scale) and auditory elements. All this, finally, on a repertoire more oriented towards today's music, our contemporary composers, as well as current music styles. The Music Theory class should remain a place of musical and human encounters, a place of openness made up of both learning and sharing. I wish you a beautiful and joyful musical journey!
