A Line 6 Digital Wireless Reference Designed for Touring

The Relay G55 continues the lineage of Line 6 digital wireless systems based on fourth-generation technology. Designed in a half-rack format, it targets guitarists and technicians seeking a stable, easy-to-deploy solution that remains consistent from gig to gig, without compromising dynamics and attack.

Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?

The Relay G55 is aimed at guitarists (and bassists) who perform live, rehearse, or play on large stages and want to move freely while maintaining a clean and consistent signal. The selection among 12 channels allows for multi-instrument setups, and worldwide license-free operation facilitates international gigs and tours.

RF Stability, Visual Monitoring, and Optional "Cable Tone"

In addition to operating in the 2.4 GHz band, the DCL (Digital Channel Lock) protection helps preserve audio integrity against other devices on the same band. Regarding playing feel, the "cable tone" simulation replicates the natural high-frequency roll-off of a standard 8 m cable, useful for regaining a more familiar top end without losing wireless benefits. Real-time monitoring remains clear: an LCD screen on the belt-pack transmitter (channel, battery status) and five-segment LED indicators on the receiver (signal strength, battery, audio level). The system can also integrate into a custom setup by combining Relay and XD-V products, provided the same RF mode is used.
