The Mackie Thump15 V4 is ideal if you need a versatile solution: front-of-house for a band, main speaker for a DJ, reinforcement for a venue, or sound for an event. Its 15-inch format naturally provides more bass extension, which suits contemporary music, amplified vocals, and instruments requiring presence (keyboards, bass via DI, guitar via multi-effects). Thanks to its 40deg angled pan, it can also be used as a stage monitor when the setup calls for it.

SoundCheck DSP: instant settings and useful features on the field

The Thump15 V4 integrates SoundCheck DSP processing designed to adapt the speaker to different contexts without complex adjustments. You have access to 4 EQ presets (voicings) to optimize the frequency range depending on usage and signal type, as well as an indoor/outdoor mode to adjust sound perception when acoustics change.
For common live situations, Mackie adds features directly aimed at "comfort": Music Ducking automatically lowers the music volume when a signal is detected on input 1 (useful for microphone announcements), and a Feedback Eliminator helps reduce feedback issues during speeches or sensitive setups.

3-channel mixer: connect microphone, DJ controller, keyboard, and auxiliary sources

The speaker includes a 3-channel digital mixer designed to simplify connections: two combo XLR/6.35 mm Jack inputs accept mic or line sources, and one 3.5 mm mini-jack input allows easy connection of an audio player. You can adjust input gain and master volume to achieve a coherent mix without additional gear for light setups.

Bluetooth: wireless streaming, pairing two speakers, and app control

Bluetooth allows streaming audio from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. You can pair two Thump V4 speakers for stereo or dual mono zone playback with separate volume control, adapting sound coverage to the venue (dance floor + lounge area, for example). The Thump Connect 2 app (iOS/Android) provides control over the mixing section (volume, EQ/voicings, etc.) and user presets, handy for quickly recalling settings between gigs.
Finally, the XLR Mix Out output sends the full mix, including the Bluetooth signal, to daisy-chain an additional speaker via cable when you need to cover a larger area.
