What FilterBank HD v7 Is For

FilterBank HD v7 is an equalization and filtering suite designed to sculpt a mix with precision while maintaining the musicality typical of analog processing. It is used both to clean up a recording (removal of unwanted low frequencies, smoothing harsh highs) and to shape a tone (presence boost, scooping muddy areas, accentuating attack). Whether in the studio or home studio, FilterBank HD v7 integrates naturally into mixing and post-production projects, on individual tracks (vocals, guitars, drums) as well as on buses (drums bus, instruments, master bus depending on use).

Main Features

Three complementary configurations to cover all needs

E606 FilterBank combines the essentials of mix EQ: high-pass and low-pass filters, low shelf and high shelf equalization, plus two parametric bands. It is the "Swiss army knife" configuration to lay a solid foundation: filter out unnecessary lows, balance tonality, then target a resonance or highlight an area.

F202 FilterBank is oriented towards more radical filtering: steep slopes on high-pass and low-pass filters, with resonance (Q) control to emphasize a cutoff frequency or, conversely, remain perfectly neutral. Ideal for tightening a source in a frequency space (cleaning an overhead, calming a sub, isolating an element in sound design) without weighing down the project.

P606 FilterBank focuses on parametric equalization with variable Q modes. This approach facilitates switching from surgical intervention (narrow Q to remove a whistling frequency) to musical correction (wider Q to reshape a timbral area) while keeping the process simple and fast.

Shelving and parametric equalization with creative contour control

FilterBank HD v7 offers shelving and parametric sections designed for modern mixing: clean corrections, musical boosts, and tonal adjustments over broad ranges. The Peak-Slope-Dip parameter set on the shelves provides unusual control over the EQ contour: you can go from a soft and transparent shelf to a more expressive curve, capable of pushing a vocal forward, opening cymbals, or grounding the low end without heaviness.

Filtering with resonance and digital precision

High-pass and low-pass filters with resonance control allow cleaning and structuring a signal without losing the punch feel. Combined with double precision processing, you get a clean, stable, and detailed rendering, useful for dense sessions or serial processing (EQ then compression, or vice versa).

Color and density: analog saturation and low latency

Analog saturation modeling adds a touch of character useful when a signal lacks life or cohesion. It is an asset for thickening a bass, reinforcing vocal presence, or making guitars more consistent in the mix. With ultra-low latency, FilterBank HD v7 remains comfortable in recording as well as mixing, even on large projects.
