In mixing, it is particularly effective on drum buses, bass, guitars, vocals, or mix bus. In mastering, it becomes a finishing tool to balance energy between bands, improve coherence, and deliver a tighter and more modern sound.

The engine of MC2000 HD v7 is designed to offer great versatility: you can choose compression in two, three, or four bands depending on the desired level of control. The Knee parameter influences the transition between uncompressed and compressed signal, ranging from a hard compression to a more gradual and musical action. The Bite control (Bi-directional Intelligent Transient Enhancement) adjusts the transient response to achieve a more incisive or, conversely, softer and controlled result. Advanced peak detection

Each compressor relies on multiple peak detection circuits based on time-constant models to track signal peak evolution and apply more coherent dynamic compression.
