Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
The Byzance Dual series continues the spirit of Extra Dry : a more organic, textured approach with immediate response and a strong identity. It carries forward the taste for dark and complex tones while adding a very contemporary visual and sonic signature thanks to its "dual" finish: a raw, artisanal center and a smoother, shinier edge. The result is a cymbal with a bold character, designed to stand out in a modern kit, both on stage and in the studio.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
The Byzance Dual cymbals are primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers seeking a cymbal with character, capable of adding an instantly recognizable color to their playing. They are particularly suited to styles that require definition and personality: modern rock, metal, live hip-hop, neo-soul, fusion, and alternative music. Their "dirty" grain and sharp attack help occupy space in a dense mix while maintaining a musicality that is appreciated for dynamics and subtlety.
