What MCenter Is For
MCenter is designed to refine the stereo image in mixing and mastering. It allows you to recentralize a vocal, tighten a bass, widen guitars or pads, clean up side reverbs, and control mono compatibility. Whether on a bus, a stereo track, or the mix bus, it offers a fast and musical way to balance center and sides while preserving phase and clarity.
Main Features
Precise control of the "phantom center"
Unlike classic M/S, MCenter separates what truly sounds mono from what truly sounds stereo. You can thus boost or reduce the center without unfairly affecting merely panned elements.
One-step workflow
The CENTER/SIDES knob provides immediate balancing between center and sides. In seconds, you find the ideal balance point without multiplying automation or complex routings.
Dual processing engine
Switch between spectral processing for maximum precision and the traditional mid/side operation for a familiar coloration. Compare, listen, and keep the most musical version for your program.
Free frequency curve drawing
Shape the response by curve drawing to treat lows, mids, and highs differently. Reinforce a solid center in the low end, brighten airy sides in the high end, or correct only a problematic band.
Targeted isolation and muting
MCenter facilitates listening to and muting the center or sides for informed decisions: check mono stability, adjust perceived width, or clean frequency masking.

Questions frequently asked
Is MCenter compatible with macOS and Windows?
Compatibility is ensured from macOS 10.14 Mojave 64-bit, as well as with Windows 8, 10, and 11 64-bit.
How does MCenter affect the center of a mix?
A CENTER/SIDES control allows quick balancing of the center and sides. The processing distinguishes mono content from stereo content, instead of acting only on panned elements. This makes it possible to recenter a vocal or tighten a bass.
Can the center and sides be processed according to frequency?
Thanks to curve drawing, processing can be applied differently to lows, mids, and highs. Thus, a center can be boosted in the low frequencies while the sides are brightened in the high frequencies.
How to check mono compatibility with this software?
Isolating or muting the center and sides facilitates checking mono stability and identifying frequency masking.
Is MCenter available for download?
This comprehensive software is downloadable. Two engines are proposed: a spectral processing engine and a traditional mid/side operation.
