A GTRS Guitar Born from the Meeting of Traditional Luthiery and MOOER Technology
MOOER made its name in 2010 with its mini-format effect pedals before pushing further into technological integration. With the MNRS 2.0 engine and the collaboration of designer Kenji Wong, the brand launched the GTRS range: electric guitars featuring a genuine effects system. The P800 stands as a Premium version, with an American alder body and a new pickup set, designed to retain the aesthetics and feel of a traditional guitar while offering the convenience of "plug and play".
Who Is It For, and Which Styles?
The GTRS P800 targets motivated beginners as well as intermediate players seeking a complete instrument for practicing at home, rehearsing, or recording easily. Its "guitar + processor" approach also suits mobile musicians (traveling, backstage, quick sessions). Style-wise, the S-S-H configuration and numerous onboard treatments make it comfortable in pop, rock, funk, blues, indie, and more saturated sounds.
The Sound
Its alder body provides a very "modern electric guitar" balance: clean lows, present mids, and clear highs, helping maintain definition with effects. The two single-coils GTRS SCN-1N/M favor dynamic and precise clean tones, while the humbucker HM-1B delivers higher output for riffs and solos with more density. The 5-position selector switch, combined with volume and tone controls, covers a wide spectrum, and the Super Knob allows control over the main output and presets for quick sound changes. The built-in GTRS processor completes the package with simulations, effects, drum machines, metronomes, and a looper, enabling you to build a true playing sound without complex setup.
