The GTRS Series: When MOOER Merges Traditional Guitar and Technology
After gaining recognition with compact effect pedals, MOOER pushed its "music and technology" DNA further by developing the GTRS range, electric guitars integrating a complete effects system. The S801 is part of the S800 series, designed to offer familiar aesthetics and feel for guitarists while adding an embedded digital environment to play and create more easily at home, in rehearsal, or on the go.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
The MOOER GTRS S801 targets beginners who want quick access to a wide palette of sounds without a pedalboard, as well as intermediate players looking for a versatile guitar for stage, home studio, and headphone/monitoring work. Its "all-in-one" approach is particularly suited to pop, funk, rock, blues styles, and more modern genres requiring presets, effects, and a looper at hand.
The Sound
The American basswood body provides an effective balance: present mids, consistent response, and a solid foundation for both clean tones and saturations. The roasted maple neck promotes a clear attack and good stability, while the maple fingerboard enhances brightness and precision, ideal for crisp rhythms. The S-S-H configuration (two single coils and one humbucker) allows switching from a crystalline, dynamic sound to more powerful tones, with a thicker register on the double coil. The integrated GTRS processor completes the package with built-in simulations and effects (including looper, drum machines, and metronomes), enabling quick sculpting of a polished sound without external gear.
