Recently I had an RME fireface UC, very good hardware. Having bought sound speakers, I supplemented with an Allen & Health mixer providing an audio interface and sold the RME interface.
Since the sound quality was average with the mixer, I decided to buy the Motu M6. The sound is comparable to fireface, on my Mac it's plug and play, nothing to install, insignificant latency. The power is supplied via the USB 3 socket, no additional transformer to connect. The workmanship is meticulous and it is super easy to use.
NB: I had to connect a mic, a guitar and the audio outputs on my keyboard. I took the M6 instead of the M4 and I did well, because the line inputs did not have enough fishing to connect the Korg PA3X (I did the test)
