The Nobels ODR-1BC builds on this foundation and adapts it to current needs. The addition of the Bass Cut addresses a common request: to keep the grain and warmth of the ODR-1 while avoiding excess low-mids and sub frequencies that can appear depending on humbuckers, low tunings, certain amplifiers, or a very full pedalboard.

The Nobels ODR-1BC focuses on straightforward ergonomics. Drive adjusts the gain level, from a very light, almost clean grain to a thicker overdrive. Level controls the output volume to balance the level or push the amp's input. The core of the sonic identity comes from the Spectrum control: it acts like a global EQ that boosts bass and treble simultaneously, while keeping mids generally stable, to maintain a sense of presence and transparency.

As for new features, the Bass Cut switch is located under the battery compartment cover: perfect for switching from a full and warm response (very flattering with single-coils) to a tighter low end, better suited to some humbuckers or tight rhythmic sounds. The ODR-1BC also accepts a 9V to 18V power supply: at 18V, you gain dynamic headroom, better low-end control, and a "breathing" sensation under the fingers. The pedal features a buffered bypass, useful for preserving the signal on long chains, and potentiometer markers visible in the dark for low-light stage environments.
