Prerequisites According to License Type
The ProRes Module is an extension that requires the host application "Audio Management Batch" (core) as well as an active core module, either "Loudness" or "Upmix". No specific EDU/UPG/CG version is required, but activation of the core and at least one of these modules is essential to use ProRes processing.
What Audio Management Batch - ProRes Module Is For
This module enables batch processing of PCM audio contained in ProRes or ".mov" files while preserving the image and metadata. It is intended for post-production studios, TV channels, VOD platforms, and delivery service providers who need to normalize levels, upmix, correct, or replace audio tracks without going through a full video export.
Main Features
Native PCM Processing in ProRes/MOV
The module opens and directly rewrites PCM tracks within ProRes and ".mov" containers. You save considerable time by avoiding transcoding back and forth and rewrapping operations.
Full Preservation of Image and Metadata
Video, timecode, and metadata remain unchanged. Only the audio is modified, which ensures editorial continuity and reduces the risk of conformance errors at delivery.
Automation and Batch Processing
Combined with the core "Loudness" or "Upmix" modules, processing runs on large volumes of files: normalization to broadcast standards, channel reformatting, stems replacement, or serial creation of multilingual versions.
Seamless Pipeline Integration
The stand-alone workflow easily integrates between color grading export and master preparation. It adapts to standard ProRes delivery folders without imposing changes to video tools.

Questions frequently asked
Does the ProRes module operate without the Audio Management Batch Core?
The host application Audio Management Batch Core is required. An active Loudness or Upmix core module must also be present to use the ProRes processing.
Can the audio of ProRes files be normalized without re-exporting the video?
The processing is applied directly to the linear PCM audio embedded in Apple ProRes and .mov containers. The video, timecode, and metadata remain unchanged.
Which files are compatible with the Nugen Audio AMB ProRes Module?
Support applies to Apple ProRes and .mov containers containing linear PCM audio.
Does the module allow batch processing of audio stems?
When combined with Loudness or Upmix, the module handles large volumes of files. Stem replacement, channel reformatting, and creation of multilingual versions can be automated. Audio tracks are rewritten without modifying the video.
What Mac or Windows configuration is required?
On Mac, OS X 10.9.x with 1 GB of memory is recommended. On Windows, Windows 7 with 1 GB of memory is required.
