Ovation Celebrity Cs Standard Mid Cutaway Natural

An Electro-Acoustic in the Ovation Tradition: Versatility and Efficiency

With its Lyrachord body and Center Soundhole, this Celebrity CS Standard embodies Ovation's DNA: a guitar designed to remain reliable, comfortable, and high-performing, both at home and amplified. The Mid-depth offers an excellent balance between ergonomics and sound presence, while the Natural finish highlights a sober and timeless aesthetic.

Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?

This left-handed electro-acoustic guitar is aimed at serious beginners to intermediate guitarists seeking a versatile instrument, as well as stage musicians who want quick playability. The cutaway facilitates playing high up the neck, and its overall profile suits pop, folk, acoustic rock, and pick-style accompaniment, while remaining comfortable for fingerpicking.

Sound

The solid spruce top delivers clarity, attack, and a rich dynamic range: the harder you play, the more nuanced it responds. The scalloped quartersawn X-bracing helps the top vibrate freely, with a good balance between definition and sustain. The Mid-depth Lyrachord body promotes direct projection and precise sound, especially appreciated when amplified. On stage, the CP-100 Slimline pickup paired with the OP-4CT preamp with tuner provides practical and consistent amplification, maintaining the "plug and play" spirit typical of Ovation electro-acoustics.
