A Celebrity Elite Plus: The Ovation Spirit Designed for the Stage
The Celebrity Elite Plus series incorporates the features that have made Ovation famous: a performance-oriented design and a sound tailored for amplification. The Multi Soundhole concept (multiple soundholes) provides an immediately recognizable aesthetic and contributes to sound dispersion, while the Lyrachord back enhances durability and consistency for a guitar intended for rehearsals, concerts, and studio use.
For Whom and Which Styles?
This electro-acoustic guitar is aimed at advanced beginners to intermediate guitarists seeking true versatility acoustically and especially an excellent solution for playing amplified. It suits pop, acoustic rock, folk, worship, as well as pick-based accompaniment very well. The cutaway facilitates solos and melodic lines high up on the neck, particularly useful in live settings.
The Sound
The top made of selected tonewoods, combined with quartersawn X-bracing, aims for a balance between clarity, quick response, and note sustain. The Mid-depth Lyrachord body delivers a clear projection with well-defined lows while maintaining excellent control in the lower spectrum (valuable for amplified playing). On the electronics side, the Ovation CP-100 Slimline pickup and OP-4CT preamp provide a usable stage signal with precise rendering and sharp attack, and the built-in tuner simplifies quick song changes.
