An Electro-Acoustic Classical Guitar in the Ovation Stage Spirit
This Celebrity MS Classic Nylon follows the Ovation tradition: a guitar designed for the stage, combining projection-oriented craftsmanship and comfort with reliable amplification. The Mid-depth Lyrachord format maintains the brand's signature (stable grip, good resistance to variations) while remaining comfortable for seated playing, and the cutaway enhances its "live" orientation.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
Designed for beginner to intermediate guitarists seeking an easy-to-play electro-acoustic classical guitar that's ready to plug in, it also works very well as a second stage guitar. It excels particularly in variety, vocal accompaniment, acoustic pop, Latin, and fingerstyle on nylon strings, with useful access to higher positions for arrangements and solos.
Sound
The solid cedar top provides a soft attack, beautiful roundness, and a generous output even at light dynamics, highly appreciated in arpeggios and melodies. The quartersawn fan bracing promotes the responsiveness and projection typical of classical guitars, with a good balance between bass and treble. The Mid-depth Lyrachord body contributes to consistent projection and controlled response, especially useful when amplified. Plugged in, the combination of Ovation Slimline pickup and OP4BT preamp delivers a clear and easy-to-adjust signal, with the integrated tuner securing quick changes on stage.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
This guitar comes factory-equipped with Hannabach GOLDIN 725MHT Medium High Tension Super Carbon Treble and GOLDIN Bass strings, so you can keep this gauge if you appreciate a firmer feel and precise attack. For transport, choose a case suitable for the classical format with cutaway and Mid-depth body (exact dimensions not specified here).
