The "Elite" Multi-Soundhole Signature in a Deep Bowl Format
This Pro Series Elite carries the iconic DNA of the "Elite" models: multi-soundholes adorned with "shoulders" of exotic woods and a Lyrachord composite back. The Deep Bowl format maximizes projection and the breadth of the low register, while the absence of a cutaway allows the top to vibrate fully for more sustain and dynamics. For Whom and Which Styles?
Designed for intermediate to advanced guitarists, this 12-string shines in folk, pop, acoustic rock, and vocal accompaniment. The wide nut (47.6 mm) favors open chord playing and arpeggios, and the built-in tuner simplifies life both in rehearsals and on stage. The multi-soundholes contribute to better volume hold on stage, useful with powerful monitors.Sound Characteristics
The solid Grade A Sitka spruce top delivers a clear attack and a beautiful dynamic reserve. The Elite Quintad bracing balances singing mids and sparkling highs, perfect for the natural brightness of a 12-string. The deep Lyrachord body adds roundness and sustain, with wide projection. Plugged in, the under-saddle OCP-1K pickup and OP-Pro preamp provide a clear and precise signal, ready to mix, without excessive coloration.Recommended Compatible Accessories
- 12-string phosphor bronze coated string set .010-.047, ADAMAS NUOVA 1616NU (original setup) to maintain touch and tonal balance.
- Deep Bowl 12-string hard case adapted to Ovation deep body guitars, for secure protection.
- Wide curved 12-string capo for even pressure across all courses.
- Guitar strap with standard strap buttons to secure the instrument on stage.
