Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
A true reference in the world of drum cymbals, the 2002 series has established itself as a standard since the early major Rock recordings, leaving a lasting impression on several generations of drummers. The current version builds on the DNA of the original classic models while incorporating a more modern approach, designed for today's productions: more definition, enhanced presence, and musicality that remains controllable both live and in the studio.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This cymbal is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers seeking a sound that is immediately clear in a mix, without sacrificing warmth or harmonic richness. It excels in styles where impact and projection are essential (Rock, Pop, Punk, Metal, Fusion), while remaining relevant for more intricate contexts (indie, progressive, contemporary music) whenever a sharp attack and controllable sustain are desired. In the studio, it is particularly comfortable when aiming for a "ready-to-mix" cymbal, with a present but manageable high end.
